Those of you who have been following us for a while will know our enthusiasm for the Alpine A110. We’ve already had the pleasure twice and both times the journey took us to Italy. On the way there, we were absolutely thrilled each time by the lightness, precision and unique driving experience that this car offers. But for some time now, there has been something that could even surpass our love for the A110: the Ravage Gr4.

This reinterpreted classic goes far beyond what the Alpine A110 previously embodied. With state-of-the-art technology and a design reminiscent of the golden era of rallying, the Ravage Gr4 combines everything that made the A110 so special with a new dimension – visually, technically and emotionally. And the result is simply breathtaking.

The Ravage Gr4 combines the essence of the historic rally era with modern lightweight construction and breathtaking design. The body, made of high-quality carbon fiber, replaces almost all of the original aluminum parts, except for a few details such as the doors and the roof. The result is a radically improved lightweight design that gives the vehicle an even more dynamic appearance without losing the iconic features of the A110. Wide fenders, distinctive air intakes and a sophisticated “ducktail” rear spoiler design take the Ravage Gr4 back to the aesthetics of Group 4 racing cars, straight out of the 70s.

At the heart of the Gr4 beats a 1.8-liter turbo engine from Renault, which has been specially developed for this version. With an output of up to 300 hp and a torque of 380 Nm, the engine not only offers sufficient power, but also the ideal power delivery for a vehicle that weighs just 700 kilograms. This weight-optimized setup ensures an exceptional power-to-weight ratio, which, in combination with the perfectly tuned suspension geometry, delivers handling characteristics that inspire maximum enthusiasm both on winding country roads and on the racetrack.

However, the Ravage Gr4 goes even further. For particularly demanding drivers, the engine is also available in a version that offers up to 343 hp, which further enhances the already impressive performance. This power variant gives the Gr4 even more dynamic handling and makes the vehicle literally fly on the road.

Another important component of the Gr4 is the state-of-the-art KW V3 coilover suspension, which not only gives the vehicle excellent damping properties, but also enables precise adjustment to the respective driving conditions. The double adjustment in compression and rebound allows the suspension to be individually adapted to the driver’s needs and the respective track. This makes the Ravage even more precise in bends, reacts to the slightest steering input and provides an almost intuitive driving experience.

In addition, the use of aluminum reinforcements in the chassis ensures a high level of rigidity, which in turn further increases driving precision. The reinforcements help the Ravage to remain particularly stable at high speeds and in fast bends without losing its maneuverability and agility. The result is a vehicle that provides maximum driving pleasure both on the racetrack and in everyday life – the Ravage Gr4 represents a perfect balance between performance, precision and driving dynamics.

Tailor-made to be unique.

Each Ravage Gr4 is individually manufactured in France and can be customized according to the customer’s wishes. From special paint finishes and individual interior fittings to unique design elements – there are virtually no limits to creativity. Even the rims can be selected in different designs and colors to give the vehicle a personal touch.

The Ravage Gr4 is more than just a modified Alpine A110 – it is a passionate homage to the rally sport of the 1970s, combined with modern technology and exquisite design. For lovers of the original, it offers a new dimension of driving experience without losing the charm and the original idea. Prices start at around 90,000 euros, excluding the base vehicle.

Hardly any other vehicle embodies the combination of rustic character and cultivated technology as impressively as the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. Since its premiere in 1979, it has developed from a military-inspired workhorse into a worldwide cult object – with a loyal fan base of adventurers, collectors and urban nomads alike. Over the decades, the silhouette has remained largely untouched, as has the concept: uncompromising off-road capability meets Mercedes comfort. A legend that knows how to reinvent itself time and again – without forgetting its roots.

A particularly expressive example of this is the new STRONGER THAN THE 1980s edition, a strictly limited small series created to mark the 500,000th G model and the early W 460 model series. Limited to just 460 units, this special edition is a stylish homage to the 1980s – the era in which the G-Class laid the foundations for its current cult status.

Time travel with style

The special model is available as either a G 450 d or G 500 and combines modern technology with iconic design elements from the past. Three historic colors – MANUFAKTUR agave green, cream white and colorado beige – bring back the look of the originals, while orange indicators, black wheel arch extensions and a classic Mercedes star on the hood are reminiscent of the first generation. Details such as the silver rear badge or the vintage-style 5-spoke alloy wheels complete the retro flair.

But it’s not just the exterior that is full of references: The interior also breathes G-Class history. Black leather meets dove-grey fabric, the words “STRONGER THAN THE 1980s” adorn the grab handle on the passenger side, and the legendary “Schöckl Proved” badge with an 80s look recalls the tests on the company’s own test mountain in Styria. Finally, the “1 of 460” lettering on the center console reveals that you are sitting in a very special G.

The STRONGER THAN THE 1980s edition is far more than just a nostalgic look back – it is a conscious statement. It not only celebrates the design and technology of days gone by, but also embodies the unmistakable attitude that has characterized the G-Class for over four decades: uncompromising, authentic, timeless. In a world in which many things seem arbitrary, it remains a genuine original – an icon with corners, edges and character.

With a starting price of over 160,000 euros, this G is certainly not for casual buyers. But for real enthusiasts – and that’s what G drivers are – it is far more than just an investment. It is a modern collector’s item with soul. And a worthy tribute to an icon that never gets old, but only gets better.

Mountains. They have always symbolised longing, challenge and freedom. They stand there, immovable, sublime. And we? We want to conquer them, climb them. Or even better: merge with them. To become one with the serpentines, the metres in altitude, the dynamics of the road. That requires the right tools. Not just power, but control. Not just speed, but precision. The choice falls on the Audi RS 3.

The day starts early – far too early for most people. But for us it starts at 4.30 a.m., when the Audi RS 3 is waiting outside the office, the engine humming quietly but powerfully. The streets are still empty, the city still asleep, the centre ring road as if swept clean. Only a few taxis are whizzing through the city tunnels, reflecting the street lights in their windows. In addition to the clatter of these few diesel engines, there is the soothing hum of a 5-cylinder engine. The start of a wonderful journey from Munich, via Austria to the Swiss mountain village of St. Moritz.

Start at 520 metres above sea level

The first few kilometres on the A95 towards Garmisch are a gentle warm-up for what’s to come. Here and there a test drive – accelerating through to feel the power of the 5 cylinders in the RS 3.

We head to Plansee via Garmisch. The roads along the water are winding, narrow and perfect for experiencing the agility of the RS 3. Every steering movement is implemented precisely, every bend can be taken with impressive stability. The torque splitter distributes the power variably between the rear wheels depending on the driving situation – an advantage that is particularly noticeable when accelerating out of tight bends.

From Imst, we set course for the Pitztal valley. The roads become steeper, the bends more challenging. But the RS 3 remains completely calm, its RS sports suspension with adaptive dampers adapts perfectly to the surface.

At an altitude of 1,550 metres, shortly after Piller, we take a moment to catch our breath. The view stretches far across the valley, the five-cylinder turbo engine purring idly in the background as if waiting to get going again. However, we take a brief moment to review the last 150 kilometres. The question of how the RS 3 was able to achieve such an impressive time of just 7:33.123 minutes on the Nordschleife has been clear since sunrise – the technical data shows that it is fast on the straights – 3.8 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h speaks for itself. But the real highlight is its behaviour in the bends. It’s not just performance on paper that counts here, but the feeling behind the wheel. And it is precisely this feeling that enables Frank Stippler to set a new lap record on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife with the RS 3. With his lap time, he beat the previous best in his class by more than five seconds.

The secret behind this is the interplay of several systems: The torque splitter, which distributes the power variably between the rear wheels and ensures maximum traction, the electronic stabilisation control, the wheel-selective torque control (brake torque vectoring) and the adaptive dampers of the RS sports suspension. All of this is controlled by the modular driving dynamics controller, which synchronises the systems at lightning speed. The result? More agility, more control and incredibly stable handling – perfect for the Alps.

After a brief look over the valley, we forget all the facts and figures and enjoy what lies ahead – the next 100 kilometres through the mountains. The route now takes us downhill via Kauns, to Pfunds and finally into Switzerland. As soon as we cross the border into Switzerland, our riding style and feeling change abruptly. This is probably not because we can’t get enough of the Audi’s power, but rather because of the Swiss fines, where even small speeding offences can result in utopian sums.

So: shift up a gear, switch the RS 3 to Comfort mode and send the five-cylinder engine on a quiet, relaxed journey. And this is precisely where another of the RS 3’s strengths becomes apparent: not only can it take bends with impressive agility, it can also glide along calmly. The adaptive damper control absorbs minor bumps, the dual-clutch gearbox shifts smoothly, and the interior remains acoustically present even at low engine speeds – but pleasantly restrained. No stress, no unnecessary noise – just arrive.

Julier Pass, 2,284 m – and the power of the RS ceramic brakes

After a short stop in St. Moritz, the last big climb awaits: the Julier Pass. The road winds upwards in serpentines, the snow reflects the light of the low sun, and the RS 3 shows once again what makes it special.

In the last hairpin bends, at over 2,200 metres above sea level, one thing is crucial: the brakes. This is where the RS ceramic brake system shows its full strength. Every braking point is sharply defined, the pedal feel is direct – even on the last bends towards the top of the pass, the braking power remains perfectly available.

Then we reach the summit of the Julier Pass, 2,284 metres above sea level. A look back at the road we have just conquered – and a deep breath. The silence of the high mountains meets the echo of the five-cylinder engine just waiting to plummet back down into the valley.

Conclusion: A car for the summits

From Munich to St. Moritz, over the Plansee, the Pitztal, Pfunds, St. Moritz and finally the Julier Pass – the Audi RS 3 has proven that it is not just a high-performance vehicle for the motorway, but a real mountain conqueror.

In total, we covered over 6,000 metres in altitude on this tour. But in the end, it’s not just about the numbers – it’s about the feeling of driving a car that melts into you more and more with every bend. And as the sun slowly disappears behind the mountain peaks, we know: The RS 3 has not only conquered the mountains – it has conquered them.

What does it mean to feel at home? Is it a place, an atmosphere or a feeling that slowly settles into us? Sometimes we encounter this rare feeling in the most unexpected moments – perhaps in an old café that exudes the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, or in a hotel that welcomes us in a way that conveys a sense of security and familiarity at the same time.

One such place is The Brecon Adelboden, a hotel that is more than just accommodation. With its unique, detailed style, it is reminiscent of the aesthetics of a Wes Anderson film and transports its guests into a world that is both nostalgic and modern at the same time. Here, in the midst of the majestic Bernese Alps, classic elegance, living tradition and an almost magical tranquillity merge to create an atmosphere that redefines the concept of ‘home’.

The soul of the house

The hotel impresses with a stylish design that combines modern elegance with alpine charm. Warm wooden elements, subtle colour tones and carefully selected details create an ambience that is both luxurious and inviting. The mix of vintage furniture, geometric patterns and a soft colour palette is reminiscent of the set design of a Wes Anderson film and creates an atmosphere that is both artistic and cosy. Every room has been thought through down to the smallest detail, from ornate wallpaper to hand-picked decorative pieces that add a personal touch. In the communal areas, cosy lounges with plush armchairs, warm lighting and a curated collection of books and vinyl records create an intimate, almost cinematic experience. The result is a place where guests not only feel at ease, but can immerse themselves in another world – a world that is nostalgic, romantic and modern at the same time.

But it’s not just the rooms that make the hotel so special. It is the palpable passion of the hosts that gives every guest the feeling of being in the right place. The warm hospitality, the attention to detail and the endeavour to add a personal touch to every stay make all the difference. The Brecon is truly a jewel in the Swiss hotel landscape: an all-inclusive hotel for adults only. Not only are breakfast and dinner included in the price of a stay, but also an unlimited selection of cocktails and other drinks. This generosity creates a carefree atmosphere in which guests can fully relax.

The spa area is located on the second floor of the hotel, where guests can enjoy a selection of massages and aromatherapy treatments. The wood-panelled sauna and the cosy relaxation lounge, which is warmed by an open fireplace in winter, provide for pleasant relaxation. From here you can access the pool terrace, which in summer is ideal for an aperitif with a view of the imposing Adelboden massif. Another highlight is the converted nightclub in the basement, which now serves as a practical ski room for winter sports enthusiasts.

‘The kitchen at The Brecon emphasises high-quality ingredients and creative preparation. Guests can look forward to varied menus that combine local specialities with international influences.’

Nestled in the picturesque landscape of Adelboden, the hotel offers numerous opportunities for outdoor activities. Whether hiking, skiing or simply enjoying the fresh mountain air – every guest will find the right activity here. After an active day, the hotel’s comfortable lounges and wellness area invite you to relax.

Why should you choose The Brecon?

The Brecon in Adelboden is more than just a place to stay. It is a retreat that captures the feeling of home in a luxurious setting. With its all-inclusive concept, thoughtful design and warm hospitality, it offers adults a place where they can feel completely at ease.

With the new M3 CS Touring, BMW has created a vehicle that blurs the boundaries between sports car and everyday car like no other car ever before. With its 550 hp, the estate car from Munich combines impressive performance with high practicality and thus offers the best of both worlds.

The M3 CS Touring is powered by a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine with TwinPower Turbo technology, which delivers an impressive 550 hp. This power enables the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds. Power is transmitted via an 8-speed M-Steptronic transmission in combination with the M xDrive all-wheel drive system, which ensures optimum traction and driving stability.

Visually, the M3 CS Touring focuses on lightweight construction and aerodynamics. Many body parts, including the hood, the front splitter, the exterior mirror caps and the rear diffuser, are made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP). These materials not only reduce weight, but also give the vehicle a striking appearance. Particularly striking are the yellow LED headlights, which are reminiscent of GT racing cars, and the red accent lines on the radiator grille and spoiler, which give the vehicle an additional sporty touch.

The interior is dominated by M carbon bucket seats, which are not only visually impressive, but also ensure optimum grip in fast bends. The use of carbon is also continued in the shift paddles and various trim elements, which underlines the sporty character of the vehicle. Despite the focus on performance, the M3 CS Touring offers a variable load compartment that can be expanded from 500 to up to 1,510 liters, making it suitable for longer journeys or everyday family life.

On the suspension side, the model has been equipped with individually tuned axle kinematics, special camber settings, dampers and stabilizers to ensure maximum precision and driving dynamics. M carbon-ceramic brakes are available as an option, which not only ensure improved braking performance but also further reduce the overall weight.

The BMW M3 CS Touring is available in the exclusive paint finishes British Racing Green, Laguna Seca Blue, Frozen Solid White and Sapphire Black Metallic. These color options emphasize the individual and sporty character of the vehicle.

With the M3 CS Touring, BMW has succeeded in creating an impressive vehicle that combines the performance of a sports car with the versatility of an estate. This model could be the perfect choice for all those who do not want to compromise between everyday practicality and driving pleasure. The BMW M3 CS Touring is available in Germany from 152,900 euros.

Days turn into weeks, months into years – and before you know it, 30 years have passed. We rarely take the time to look in the rear-view mirror. But this is precisely where the magic of those vehicles that are more than 30 years old lies. They stop time – the gentle entry, the turn of a real ignition key, mechanical noises – all this slows us down and gives us moments that are lost in the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

In 2025, many iconic models will reach the magical age of 30 and officially become classic cars. This year we are spoiled for choice, we show you our top 5 cars celebrating their 30th birthday this year.

1st BMW Z3 – The roadster for everyone

The BMW Z3 was introduced in 1995 as BMW’s first roadster after a long break and gained worldwide fame through its appearance in the James Bond film GoldenEye. The two-seater convertible impresses with its classic shape, long hood and short overhangs – a design that still delights fans today. Technically, it is based on the E36 3 Series, which ensures solid driving characteristics.

The engine range extended from the 1.8-liter four-cylinder with 115 hp to the brute 3.2-liter straight-six in the Z3 M with 325 hp. The six-cylinder variants and the rare Z3 Coupé (“turnschuh”), which is considered a collector’s item with its distinctive rear shape, are particularly sought-after.

Used car price: 8,000 – 15,000 € (Roadster), 20,000 €+ (Coupé)

2. Mercedes-Benz E-Class (W210) – comfort meets elegance

In 1995, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class W210 marked the beginning of a new design era with its distinctive four-eyed face. In contrast to its predecessor, the angular W124, the W210 featured more curves and a significantly more modern interior design. The models with six-cylinder or V8 engines, such as the E 320 or the rare E 50 AMG, which was refined by AMG with its 347 hp engine, were particularly popular. Thanks to its excellent workmanship, high level of ride comfort and classic elegance, the W210 has established itself as a future classic car.

But be careful: the early model years are known for rust problems, which is why well-maintained examples are becoming increasingly sought after.

Used car price: €6,800 – €9,300 (standard models), €20,000+ (AMG versions)

3. Fiat Barchetta – Italy’s answer to the Mazda MX-5

The Fiat Barchetta (“little boat”) was launched in 1995 as an emotional roadster and was intended as an alternative to the successful Mazda MX-5. With its curved design, reminiscent of classic Italian sports cars, it is one of the most beautiful Fiat creations of the 1990s. Technically, it is based on the Fiat Punto, but under the hood is a high-revving 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine with 130 hp, which ensures lively performance. The low weight of less than 1,100 kg contributes to agile handling.

However, there is a catch: the soft top was not designed to a particularly high standard, and rust can be a problem. However, if you can find a well-maintained example, you will get a wonderful summer car with a great fun factor.

Used car price: 5,000 – 10,000 €

4. Alfa Romeo GTV (916) – Italian design icon with character

The Alfa Romeo GTV (Gran Turismo Veloce) was launched in 1995 and was one of Pininfarina’s most beautiful creations. Its aggressive front end with narrow headlights and the sporty, wedge-shaped rear design still cause a stir today. The cockpit is driver-oriented and offers a low seating position, as befits a true sports coupé. The models with the legendary 3.0-liter V6 “Busso” engine, which gives you goosebumps with its unique sound and 220 hp, are particularly popular. But the four-cylinder versions with 1.8 or 2.0 liters are also fun to drive and well balanced thanks to their lower weight. Unfortunately, rust is also an issue here, and the electronics can cause surprises – but a well-maintained Alfa GTV is a driving work of art and a real insider tip for future classics.

Used car price: €7,000 – €20,000 (V6 models more expensive)

5. Renault Sport Spider – the purist from France

Admittedly, the Frenchman is our secret favorite in our list. Why? No roof, no power steering and no superfluous comfort – less is more. But as they say – less is more. The minimalist design with low-slung bodywork and gullwing doors is reminiscent of a racing car for the road. The Spider is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine from the Clio Williams with 150 hp, which delivers impressive performance thanks to its low weight of just 930 kg. The first models even came without a windshield – drivers had to wear a helmet. Today, the Renault Sport Spider is an absolute rarity and a coveted collector’s item for purists.

Used car price: 35,000 – 50,000 €

With this selection, there is something for every taste: from purist roadsters to high-performance sports cars. Anyone investing in one of these future classics can look forward to a unique driving experience – and perhaps even an increase in value.

If you ask us which part of the Alps is our favorite, the decision probably falls on the southern part – where palm trees meet mountains and espresso is an essential part of every meal.

The Parkhotel Mondschein is nestled in this impressive setting in South Tyrol, where the Dolomites tower like royal guardians and Alpine culture merges with the Mediterranean lifestyle. A hotel that is not only a place of tranquillity, but also brings stories of classic elegance, warm hospitality and contemporary comfort to life.

Historical heritage meets modern lightness

The Parkhotel Mondschein looks back on a long and eventful history. Once a meeting place for writers and artists, the hotel has retained its historical charm without remaining stuck in the past. A gentle renovation has preserved the essence of the building while adding a contemporary touch. High ceilings, original wooden floors and stylish details create an atmosphere that is both elegant and inviting. At the same time, light-flooded lounges, artfully decorated lounges and a carefully curated collection of regional artworks invite you to discover every corner of the hotel. The interior skillfully combines traditional craftsmanship with modern design elements, reflecting the hotel’s vibrant history and creative soul.

The impressive building, which was built in 1320 as the first inn in Bolzano, is now a listed building. Its iconic white shutters and elegant stucco decorations make it a real eye-catcher. Extensions in the Belle Époque style from 1890 complement the historic character and create a special architectural experience that delights guests with wide corridors, high ceilings and ornate stucco details.

After extensive renovations in May 2022, the Parkhotel Mondschein shines in new splendor. A harmonious overall concept was created that captures the charm of the early 1960s and is reminiscent of cinematic moments from the golden age of Italian film. High-quality materials, warm lighting and midcentury accents lend the rooms a nostalgic yet modern atmosphere. With 76 rooms of different sizes – from cozy petite rooms to spacious suites – the hotel offers space for every requirement.

Moritz Dissertori, one of the two hosts at Hotel Mondschein.

The colour palette of soft greens, greys and browns harmonizes with the mountain world of the Dolomites and creates a pleasant ambience. The original herringbone parquet flooring has been carefully preserved, while the bathrooms have been redesigned with simple elegance in white and silver.

But the real heart of the Parkhotel is its garden. This green haven, framed by old trees and colorful flowerbeds, invites you to unwind. In the morning, enjoy a coffee outside while the first rays of sunshine kiss the Dolomites. In the evening, the garden is transformed into a magical place, illuminated by lanterns and filled with the scent of flowering plants. A paradise for romantics and nature lovers alike. The West Coast of the United States is more than just a picturesque backdrop – it embodies freedom, dynamism and a way of life – “The American Dream” it is called. For fans of the four rings, however, the West Coast has also become part of the “German Dream”. The limited-edition Audi RS 6 GT was presented in the midst of this special environment together with the racing icon Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO. Between the iconic streets of Los Angeles and the natural wonders of the Pacific coast, it became clear that this car is more than just a car – it is a narrative.

A tribute to a motorsport icon

There are moments when the past is reflected in the present. The Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO, with which Audi dominated the racetracks of North America in the late 1980s, was a pioneer – a vehicle that pushed the boundaries of what was possible with its five-cylinder engine and quattro all-wheel drive. The RS 6 GT is more than just a tribute. It carries the soul of this racing car, but reinterprets it in a modern way: with a design that combines power and elegance, and technology that turns every corner into an experience.

The heart of an athlete beats under the hood of the RS 6 GT. With 463 kW (630 hp) and 850 Newton meters of torque, it clearly stands out from its basic counterpart. It accelerates to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds, and half a breath later it speeds on towards 200 km/h, which it reaches in just 11.5 seconds. The top speed? An impressive 305 km/h – controlled by a precise RS ceramic braking system that keeps the car under control at all times. But none of these figures describe the feeling when the eight-cylinder engine unleashes its power and brings the road beneath the wheels to life.

When you look at the RS 6 GT, you immediately sense that it is different. Whether in Heritage Design or in Nardo Grey, the RS6 GT makes it clear that it is not just any representative estate car. Coupled with details such as the flowing roof edge spoiler and the striking 22-inch wheels, the Ingolstadt car has a charisma that is at home between the road and the racetrack. The interior exudes precision craftsmanship: Bucket seats with new color combinations, high-quality materials and individual numbering on the center console make each RS 6 GT unique. You don’t just sit here – you become part of a story.

The roots of the GT go back to 2020, when a team of Audi apprentices realized the RS 6 GTO Concept project. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, twelve young talents from various disciplines worked for six months on the vision of a modern homage vehicle. The Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO served as a central source of inspiration.

The journey along the west coast, the comparison with the Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO – all this shows: The RS 6 GT is more than just a vehicle. It is a bridge between the past and the future, between the race track and the road. It stands for the courage to honor traditions and reinterpret them at the same time. Anyone who experiences it senses that it is not just about speed. It is about a story that continues to be written in every bend, every acceleration and every breath.
